Our story started back in 1893, when Denis Hanly and his son John set up a vertical woollen mill beside the Nenagh river, in a disused flour mill in Ballyartella, North Tipperary.

Where Every Thread Comes Together...
Before the weaving can begin, hundreds of individual yarns must be carefully brought together.
The warping creel holds the many cones of yarn that are drawn together in precise order to create the warp – the foundation of the fabric. Each thread has its place, and careful control of tension and alignment is essential to achieving the quality and consistency of the finished weave.
It`s a fascinating stage of the process, where individual strands begin to come together as one.
